A Timely Blog 11/4/15

What “Time” Is It?...Chapel “Time!!!”

Bet you thought I was going to say Daylight savings time.:) It is true that we turned our clocks back one hour this past weekend, and pajama time feels like it comes much more quickly during this season of the year, but I was referring to my favorite time with our Jr. Cougars, and that is happening in two days! This Friday, 11/6, at 8:30 am in the Multipurpose Room in the high school, we will be having our elementary chapel. This week chapel will led by our middle school worship team and Mrs. Harkins and her second grade “Peanut Gang.” We welcome you to join us in this special time of learning about and loving God!

More “Time”ly Reminders :)

Cool Weather “Time”...or at least it is supposed to be!

After November 1, students are not permitted to wear shorts to school unless the forecasted temperature is above 60 degrees Fahrenheit for Morgantown.

A Christmas Carol “Time”
On Thursday evening, November 5, and Friday evening, November 6, our CCS students will perform an adaptation of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol for our fall drama at 7:00 p.m.  The cost  for tickets is $6.00 for adults and $4.00 for students. Enjoy an evening out, support our students, and jump start your heart with the Christmas Spirit!

“Time” OFF from school…
a little
There will be no school for students next Thursday, 11/12, and Friday, 11/13. The CCS faculty and staff will be involved with in-service activities on each of the days.

Teacher “Time”
Parent/Teacher Conferences are planned for Monday, 11/23, and Tuesday, 11/24. Please watch your email for details about signing up for quality time with your child's teacher.

Turkey “Time”

Thanksgiving is a special time giving thanks to the Lord for His love, grace, and provision. It is also a time to celebrate with family and friends, eat turkey, have fun, and take a break from the normal routines of school. Our time to do just that is coming. There is no school for students Tuesday, 11/25, through Monday, 11/30. Students return to school and our countdown to Christmas on Tuesday, 12/1.

Thank you for allowing CCS to partner with the Lord and you to share this part of your child's journey in growing spiritually, academically, socially, emotionally, and physically.
