Water Shoes, Water Shoes, Water Shoes Are Everywhere!

Our Jr. Cougars must be working hard to be the “hands and feet of Jesus” and earning money because our tents are getting quite full -- so filled with water shoes that we are just a few "steps" away from our 100 pair goal! I am so blessed and filled with JOY by each Jr. Cougar who comes to visit me, as they share what they did to help provide this gift of love to another child! he last day to purchase water shoes for the campers of Camp at Old Mill will be this Friday, 4/29/16. hank you for all you have done to encourage and support your child with this mission project so that the incoming campers can have a splashing great time at Camp at Old Mill this summer while learning about and experiencing the love of Jesus all around them!

It’s a Wrap!

While studying the science behind Ancient Egypt and building their own "sweet” pyramid, our Jr. Cougar scientists wrapped up the season of scientific exploration, experimentation, learning, and fun last Thursday after school, at least for the school season! These maturing scientists are roaring with excitement about CCS hosting our very own Science Explorers Summer Camp this summer featuring the “Take a Dive” unit of study. It will be held on Monday, August 1  - Thursday, August 4 from 9 am - noon. See Mrs. "Crystal" Caley’s email below:

Hi Jr. Cougar Parents,

I just wanted to let you know that we are sending home a coupon this week for the summer camp program that is being held here for the first time this summer! YAY!  Mrs. Brenner and I will be teaching this half-day summer camp and are very excited about this biology-based camp called Let's Take a Dive!  I know you already received a paper about this, but we have attached the coupon to another paper in case the original one is not handy, or feel free to give the paper to a friend, neighbor, or cousin!  This camp would be a great way to introduce our school to someone as well.

Please note that if you use the coupon, you need to call in the registration to get the discount and special fossil for the student. You can email me with any additional questions at janet.caley@constogachristian.net.  Other students not attending the club this school year need to register online at www.ScienceExplorers.com.

Keep encouraging your little scientists to think, observe, and learn about the beauty and marvel of our Creator's world!

Community Helpers Helping Once Again!

Thanks to the vision and efforts of Mrs. Eberly, our beloved kindergarten teacher, and her team, last Friday our Jr. Cougars in Pre-K to third grade got to experience a “picture” into the day in the life of our community helper heroes. These super men and women share their expertise, wisdom, time, energy, hard work, and heart daily to help and take care of us, keeping us safe and healthy. On Friday they gave even more to us, right here in our CCS parking lot! These helper heroes included the fire fighters of the Caernarvon Fire Company and their fire truck and pick-up truck and Mr. Long (dad of Tyler in kindergarten) and his enormous and entertaining tractor trailer. Be sure to ask your child about recess in the trailer of the truck. :) It also included Mr. and Mrs. Martin (dad and mom of Tanner in fifth grade and Emily in third grade) and their super-sized tow truck; a trusty, but not rusty, tractor and informative display from the Beam pig farm, driven in by Mrs. Beam herself, along with Mrs. Johnson (mom of Cameron in first grade); and Mrs. McCoog, a caring and captivating local nurse. Last but not least, our very own senior, Julie Gardner, who is an EMT and firefighter, confidently, passionately, and lovingly shared about her work on the ambulance. A super time was had by all, and we are a bit more informed and a lot more thankful to all of our helping heroes!

Thank you for allowing CCS to partner with the Lord and you
to share this part of your child's journey
in growing spiritually, academically, socially, emotionally, and physically.

GO Jr. COUGARS! Whoop! Whoop!
