9/22/15
It is hard to believe that the first day of fall is on our doorsteps, but the the crisp air and cool breezes greeted us as a loving reminder that with God there is a season for everything. The fall season brings thoughts of falling leaves, everything pumpkin flavored, campfires, roasted marshmallows, hot apple cider, soft cozy sweatshirts, and of course Cougar soccer and volleyball. (Did you happen to hear that both middle school and high school volleyball and soccer teams had a clean sweep of wins in our home games played on this past Saturday! Whoop! Whoop!:) In addition to the sights, sounds, smells, and thoughts of fall, our Jr. Cougars have so much to look forward to on our CCS campus over the coming weeks. Here’s what’s happening this week:

This Tuesday:

The Jr. Cougars MATH MATTERS Math Club
has begun, but it is not too late to join in on the fun!

Also on Tuesday:

Under the leadership of Mrs. Myers and Mrs. Gascho, our Jr. Cougars have eager and busy hands and fingers as they work together to tie our Jr.Cougars Elementary Quilt that will be auctioned off to the highest bidder on Saturday, 10/17/15. What a precious and exciting time in our building and in the life of our school!

This Wednesday:

“See You at the Pole” is on Wednesday, September 23, 2015!
This Wednesday, Christian high school students, teachers, parents, and clergy will gather around the flagpoles outside their local schools to pray for our country, communities, schools, and world. We at CCS will be gathering at 7:30 a.m. in the gym that morning to pray in spirit with the rest of our brothers and sisters around the country. All in the CCS community, including our Jr. Cougars and their families, are invited to join faculty, staff, and fellow students and their families in this exciting time of prayer.

The JAARS pilot will be sharing with the entire student body about the helicopter and the role of jungle aviation in missions. CCS patrons are invited to join our students in this exciting opportunity. The program will be about 45 minutes. In the event of inclement weather, the event will be cancelled.
